Reviews about Country Village Shops

Chickens followed me all around during my visit. The public restrooms were clean and free to use. There were small playgrounds for children to play and they added a very sweet background noise to the whole experience as they were having a good time, too. The shops are all small, boutique style, and everyone seemed friendly enough.

Good place to bring a date, do family time, or just explore the fine stores and find nostalgic items here. I love the old country western style buildings and the smells of kettle corn.

Update: The reason that there is no maintenance or upkeep being done is because the property is now under new ownership. The new owners have given notice to the tenants (AKA shop owners) that they will soon be required to vacate . Our concerns for our favorite shops have multiplied, especially since some shops have already been forced to close their doors. Country Village itself is rather run down and seems to be declining quickly. Maintenance and upkeep don't appear to be a priority to the property owners and there is concern for the future of the businesses that the "Village" houses. It's sad, really, because most of the shops occupying the spaces are small, privately owned, businesses. The quilt shop is wonderful - earning 2 of my 3 stars thanks to the friendly ladies, amazing selection & great prices. The bead shop is slightly overpriced and the employees could use some lessons in customer service (if I'm asking for help, you put down what you're stocking and help me), but it's nice to have them nearby in spite of the negatives. The Tea Shop promises new temptations every visit, and I'm more than happy to put my diet on the shelf for any of their tasty treats.

Such a great collection of shops and restaurants! A great place to spend an afternoon! My favorite store is Cranberry Cottage. I also like to go there when they have the Farmer's market during the summer.
